WWII

After reading the letters from the WWII veteran I could see how important letter writing is. The importance of emotion and love shown through these letters is incredible. People wanted to show how much they cared and loved for each other through writing and it is so much more meaningful through letters. The other fact that amazes me is that you could write to someone off at war and never hear back. The only way to communicate and feel the presence of another was through letter writing. Also, censoring kept a lot of information private.
