In class we went over different media that shows letters. One of my favorite movies is Love, Simon because it is so heartfull. It captures letters sent to someone who is gay and blogs about it. Simon is having a tough time coming out and wants helpful tips for how to do this. He soon falls in love with the person he is writing too. The movie is a representation of how meaningful letters are. The anonymous writing gives the reader just words to work with when imagining this person. There is no looks or different factors its just what the writer is saying. Through words there is so much emotion that can be picked up on. The art of letter writing was given a new purpose when this movie came out because many LGBTQ that didn’t come out found a new way to get advice or help.
